Dear Mr. Mayor

I want you to know that your views on drugs are the same as mine. You want to clean up Detroit from drugs crime, homicide, suicide, and other types of crime just as I do. You have been in office since 2002 and you have done a good job improving the streets of Detroit.

You and many others will want to read my letter because I have a helpful suggestion on how to hinder drug crimes or bring them to a raging halt. What the people of Detroit already know is that drugs are bad for your health, they have claimed many young and old lives and have destroyed many good communities and made most afraid of blacks. I lost my uncle to drugs. A dealer shot him while he was in his car my family grieved for many days before we had his funeral and the police have still not caught the people who shot him

Drugs can lead to the loss of limbs. There even drugs that can lead to the loss of logical thinking. Also over 15 million adults have gone to jail over drug abuse. .

A little over 200 thousand young people have gone to jail for drug abuse. In my opinion no one wants to lose any body close to them. I also think that people who kill someone have to live with that person’s face in their head for the rest of their life. I also don’t think any one wants to go to jail for any thing.

Drugs affected me personally when they claimed my uncle’s life. I believe that a good way to stop drugs is to put more cops on the street and to make everyone alert such as teachers and officers. If a child shows hints that he or she has drugs in his life at school and the teacher sees it, allow the officers to inspect the child’s environment at home. That will limit the number of young people going to jail and let them have a better life.

Sincerely

Drugs the Brain Killers!

Drugs are plants and herbs that were supposed to be used for medicinal purposes but some where down the line someone got it twisted and began to use drugs for pleasure. Slowly, drugs became more and more popular until it finally spread across the seas and began to infect our whole planet. Many people use drugs in the wrong way and end up hurting themselves in the process. Drugs have darkened our communities and made many people afraid to step outside.

Drugs have also claimed many lives, both young and old. Drugs are addictive and can lead to madness to the point were you would steal, or kill family members just for a sniff of drugs. People often kill or threaten people, even family, because of unpaid money or an argument related to drugs. Many gang wars have been started due to a wrong shipment of drugs. There are five types of main drugs people get caught using: heroin, cocaine, synthetic drugs, marijuana, crystal meth, hashish. The most common one is marijuana as stated in the Bureau of Justice and Statistics. Drugs can turn even the most decent of people into drug-crazy killers.

Statistics show that over 15 million adults have gone to jail over drug abuse and a little over 200 thousand of them were young people. Not everyone involved with drugs goes to jail just for drug abuse, but also for dealing the brain killers on the streets of many cites to people, including children. Young children are being introduced to drugs and it becomes embedded into their system. Ethnic groups are being stereotyped because of drugs and this is causing people in these groups to be viewed differently or not even be able to get a high paying job.

Drugs cause death in more than one way; the more you smoke, the more you kill healthy cells, damaging your lungs and brain. In the long run, drugs could even cause muscle problems, shorten your life, or cause a lot of suffering in your old age. The government isn’t doing enough to prevent its people from these problems caused by drugs. The government is too focused on the war in Iraq and the oil; it doesn’t seem to care what happens to the people here in the United States because it lets the drug problem continue. There are too many people ending up dead in the street due to drug abuse and the government needs to do more to stop it.
